The Washington Inquisitor is committed to accuracy. When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and say so clearly.

How we correct errors

  • Corrections. When an article contains a factual error, we fix the error in the text and add a dated note at the end of the article that explains what was wrong and what has been changed.
  • Clarifications. When an article is accurate but could be misunderstood, or omitted important context, we add a clarification note explaining the change.
  • Updates. When a story develops after publication, we add new information and note that the article has been updated.
  • Headlines, photos and captions are held to the same standard as article text.

Removing articles

We do not remove published articles simply because a subject finds them unwelcome. We may withdraw an article when we can no longer stand behind its accuracy or sourcing, when it falls below our editorial standards, or when legal or safety concerns require it.

Requesting a correction

If you believe we have published an error, please contact us through our Contact page. Include the headline and link of the article, the specific statement you believe is wrong, and any documentation that supports the correction. An editor will review every request.
